Chris Newlon started his career as a whitewater guide. He guided Ken on his first whitewater trip in 1973 which inspired Ken to start his rafting company. After several years working in yoga ashrams, Chris obtained a degree in Computer Science and joined IBM. He recently retired after spending the last 37 years specializing in IT strategy, process reengineering, and knowledge management. His corporate experience often involved bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds and countries to accomplish shared goals. He believes that the strength of our republic has always been tied to the democratic processes which ensure that diverse views can be heard and melded into a common purpose.
