Nothing is more central to the American experience than voting, than expressing our preference for leaders and those leaders’ visions for our communities. Citizens and politicians who refuse to abide by the results of fair elections betray the fabric of the nation. My entire campaign has been based on the premise our democracy is worth keeping, and in order to protect our democracy voting rights must be preserved both in law and by elections officials, including the Secretary of State. As the most experienced professional in the race, I am uniquely and supremely qualified to the person most responsible for protecting our rights as Americans.
